Woodcraft Folk , a voluntary youth organisation that promotes healthy leisure time for children, are appealing for more members to join their Hanwell and Shepherd's Bush teams.

Founded in 1969, the Ealing Woodcraft Folk meets weekly for fun activities, and goes on camping trips in the summer.

Run by volunteers, weekly sessions last for just over an hour and activities include non-competitive games, craft, discussions, learning about the environment and more.

Monika Eady, leader of Ealing and Hammersmith District Woodcraft Folk, said: "We meet weekly and go camping in the summer. Children learn cooperation and find out about the world around them to become active citizens.

"In the summer we tend to have about four weekend camps and a week's camp in the school holidays. We also make use of the residential centre the Woodcraft Folk own in Cudham, South of London, normally in the autumn when it is too cold to camp."

Ealing Woodcraft Folk group holds regular activities
