Taxi app Uber has been stripped of its licence to operate in London .

The controversial company will not have its licence renewed in the capital after September 30, the regulator announced on Friday (September 22).

With just nine days to go before the company ceases to operate, we have handpicked nine places you need to visit in an Uber.

1. Watch a West End show

Heading to London's West End to catch a musical is a great escape for many.

Whether it's a Disney classic or a critically acclaimed show there is plenty to choose from.

London has a number of world class venues including Piccadilly Theatre, Apollo Victoria and Savoy, which host the biggest names and shows.

2. Relax in Kew Gardens

West London is home to The Royal Botanic Gardens in Kew .

As Autumn approaches, hop into a Uber and head to Kew to admire the gorgeous flowers and plants.

3. Kensington Roof Gardens

Uber's are super handy for nights out.

4. Spot deer at Richmond Park

5. Take a trip to Little Venice
