According to online local service marketplace, bedivine.com, the demand for dance lessons in the UK has shot through the roof since the Oscar -winning movie, La La Land was released in January.

Fancy learning the moves from the movie?

The site, which has hundreds of dance professionals and tutors, has witnessed the number of requests for dance classes, particularly in tap and contemporary, rise by 129%.

Bidvine.com co-founder, Russ Morgan, said: “La La Land has captured the imagination of the public and completely dominated the movie award season this year with seven Golden Globes, six (nearly seven) Oscars and four Baftas.

"We have hundreds of dance professionals on the site and the increase in demand they’ve experienced since the film’s release is beyond belief.

“We’ve partnered with a number of our dance professionals to give fans of the film a chance to learn the routines at La La Land Bootcamp.

"We’re excited to see how they get on with some of the trickier moves.”

In light of this increase in demand, a free dance class in London has been proposed, and if enough people sign up to it, it will go ahead.

In the class, you will have the opportunity to learn routines from the film, including both vocals and dance moves.
