Krispy Kreme has finally opened in Harrow .

St Anns Shopping Centre welcomed the sweet new resident on Thursday (June 22), in the grand opening of Krispy Kreme’s newest outlet.

The kiosk-style store opened at 10am to a queue of 45 eager fans.

Sabahatt Hussain, 23, from Watford was the first in line and won the coveted Krispy Kreme Gold Card entitling her to a dozen doughnuts for every month of the year.

Sabahatt, who had been queueing up from 2.50am, said: “As soon as I heard that there was a Krispy Kreme opening in St Anns I knew I wanted to be the first in line to get my hands on a Gold Card.

"I can’t wait to see how popular I am when I pick up my first double dozen, the early wake-up was totally worth it.”

Not only did Sabahatt pick up the prize, but goody bags were also dished out to the first dozen people in the queue.

Activities and spot prizes were handed to customers throughout the day.

Alex Drysdale, operations director at Krispy Kreme, said “Thank you to everybody who came down to our jam-packed opening today at St Anns.

"If you couldn’t make it down this morning, you ‘batter’ come and visit us soon for some tasty treats!”

On offer in the new store are 16 varieties of delicious, melt-in-the-mouth treats – from the classic Original Glazed to the limited edition Hershey’s Cookies ‘n’ Creme varieties, as well as Krispy Kreme’s own blend of coffee.
