The Spring Bank Holiday weekend is just around the corner now, with the three-day holiday running from Saturday May 28 to Monday May 30.

And with many of you excited by the prospect of firing up the barbecue and finally enjoying some sunshine, the weather forecast couldn't be more important.

So what does the weather have in store over the next few days?

A spokesman for the Met Office said: "It's going to feel like a nice weekend; beginning tomorrow there will be highs of around 20C. High temperatures are likely on Saturday.

"It'll feel mainly cloudy, there may well be some showers in the morning but they'll be very light, and the sun will come out in between the showers.

"It'll dry up towards the afternoon, and there will be periodic spells of brightness."

He said: "On Sunday the temperature will be about 19C, so a little cooler than Saturday. There will really be some cloud, but it'll be heavier towards the morning.

"Monday will see highs of 18C, cloud, no real signs of the sun breaking through. Monday won't be the nicest day, but the overall forecast is not too bad.

"People in west London will definitely be able to see a bit of sun over the bank holiday weekend."
