Living on a houseboat is the topic of discussion at Chiswick Pier Trust’s first talk of the year.

Dr Scott Pereira from The Thames Society will be leading the conversation all about history and heritage of houseboats on the River Thames in Chiswick on Tuesday January 19.

He will be exploring what it is like to live on one of the boats, how living on them has helped preserve them and how heritage boats enhance modern environments, particularly tourist areas including Chiswick Pier.

People can come along to the discover the benefits of encouraging people to live afloat and a discussion will follow on how to make life on houseboats better.

Doors open at 7pm and the talk will start at 7.30pm.

Tickets cost £3, or free to members of the Chiswick Pier Trust and The Thames Society.
