Here's what's on at the theatre for children during the Easter holidays

Easter is on the way, which can only mean one thing. The children need entertaining for two whole weeks.

With most west London borough state schools breaking up for the holidays from Friday March 25 to Sunday April 10 , you'll need lots of activities in the diary to keep them occupied.

And what better way to spend the Easter holidays with your kids than treating them to some fun theatre? Here's our pick of the best children's theatre going on over the Spring holiday period.

Brent

The Man in the Woman's Shoes at Tricycle Theatre

Set in Ireland in October 1978, The Man In The Woman's Shoes follows the life of Pat Farnon as he walks to town and back again.

Funny, tender and at times downright daft, this piece of theatre has toured across the USA and Ireland, including a sell-out run at the Abbey Theatre in Dublin.

Little Shop of Horrors at The Questor's Theatre

This multi-award-winning cult classic is one of the longest-running off-Broadway shows of all time. Children will love this comedy horror rock musical, which is charming, tuneful and hilarious.

Wednesday April 6 to Saturday April 9. Tickets cost £17 for adults, £14 for concessions and £12 for side seats from Thursday to Saturday. On Wednesday all tickets cost £14.

A Midsummer Night's Dream at The Lyric Hammersmith

This classic tale of young lovers and warring fairies is given a unique and irreverent twist by The Lyric Theatre and Filter Theatre Company. This production returns to the Lyric after its critically acclaimed 2012 run.
