Harry Potter fans will be excited to hear that their opportunity to see the much anticipated new play Harry Potter and the Cursed Child has not disappeared yet.

If you're one of the many people who hasn't yet managed to secure a ticket to the five-star play, then don't worry, as 250,000 NEW tickets will be going on sale this Thursday.

Tickets to the play, co-written by J K Rowling, Jack Thorne and John Tiffany, will be going on sale on Thursday August 4 at 11am.

These tickets will get you a spot in the audience for performances until December 2017.

What's it all about?

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is the latest instalment in the popular franchise.

The story continues 19 years after the events in the Deathly Hallows and follows Harry, who now works at the Ministry of Magic, and his son Albus Severus who attends Hogwarts.

A detailed plot is yet to be revealed as JK Rowling wants fans who see the play and read the script to keep it a secret by promoting the hashtag #KeepTheSecrets.

How do I get tickets?

To buy tickets online, visit either the Nimax Theatres or ATG Tickets websites... But be sure to be VERY prompt at 11am, as tickets are likely to sell extremely fast.

One ticket will secure the same seat for both Part One and Part Two. Tickets are currently priced between £15 and £70 per part.

When are the performances scheduled?

The play is broken into two parts, and most people seeing the play will want to watch both parts. You might want to see both parts within one week, but eager fans can even see both parts in the same day.

Wednesday: Part One, 7.30pm

Thursday: Part One, 2pm and Part Two, 7.30pm

Friday: Part Two, 7.30pm

Saturday: Part One, 2pm and Part Two, 7.30pm

Sunday: Part One, 1pm and Part Two, 6.30pm

Is there any other way to get tickets?

Every Friday at 1pm, 40 tickets are released for every performance the following week, with some of the best seats in the theatre. Customers will be chosen at random for the tickets. These tickets are known as The Friday Forty.

These Friday Forty tickets will secure you a seat for both Part One and Part Two consecutively.
