A children’s author from Hammersmith has had her first novel published - at the age of 79.

Lotte Moore’s In The Fast Lane is a story about the speed of modern life, but it is not her first book.

She has already written and published 12 children’s books, an autobiography and two volumes of short stories, despite only taking up writing at 70.

The former ballerina and actress said: “The book is about the age of everyone rushing and never having time for each other. I find everyone is in a rush these days or looking at their computers and phones.”

And she was proud to finally write a novel: “I’m very excited to have this published as I will be 80 soon.

“I wish my father was alive because he was a writer and so was my grandfather.”

The book is available on Amazon.
