The University of West London, Boston Manor Road, Brentford, TW8 9GA

The Ealing site is the main area of the university and features the Students' Union, music studios, an auditorium, the library, restaurants and cafés and more.

The Brentford site is a new development, and is home to halls of residence and three of the university's eight academic schools.

The two sites lie only 1.5 miles apart and are linked by a free shuttle bus for all students.

How to get there

Bus: A regular bus service (number 65) runs from immediately outside Ealing Broadway station to the Ealing site. Students and staff can also catch the free University shuttle bus from Ealing Broadway station, running to both the Ealing and Brentford sites.

There are a number of London buses in the area, many 24 hours, which serve both local routes and the city centre.

Underground: The site has three London Underground stations within easy walking distance: Ealing Broadway (District and Central lines) - 15 minutes; Ealing Common (District and Piccadilly lines) - 15 minutes; and South Ealing (Piccadilly line) - 10 minutes

Train: There is a rail service at Ealing Broadway, taking you to London Paddington in just ten minutes and linking up with major train stations around the country.

Taxi: Some of the local taxi companies include Ealing Green Minicabs (020 8998 5544), West Ealing Minicabs (020 8567 7033) and Cargil Cars (020 8578 0100).

With central London just a short journey away, there's no shortage of incredible theatre, arts and music, with the capital boasting the amazing West End theatre scene.

The Questors Theatre is in the heart of Ealing and is home to a large non-professional theatre company. Coming up in the next few months is Boeing Boeing, After The End and Cinderella.

Richmond Theatre is a famous British Victorian theatre in the centre of Richmond, a short journey away from Ealing. Coming up in October is a performance of A Room With A View.

The Eventim Apollo

The Eventim Apollo is a famous music and comedy venue in Hammersmith - well known for hosting David Bowie's last concert as Ziggy Stardust. Don't miss comedian Romesh Ranganathan as he comes to the venue in October.

Parks and places you can run

Gunnersbury Park: Gunnersbury Park is home to beautiful architecture and fun events year round.

The Thames Path: The gorgeous Thames Path stretches through many areas of west London, including Hammersmith, Kew and Richmond. Take a stroll or run there on a quiet morning!

Pitshanger Park: Pitshanger Park is a gorgeous open space where you can sit and relax by the River Brent, perfect for long study days.

The "Four Parks" Run: If you like a longer running route, why not try the seven-mile "Four Parks" route? It's a beautifully scenic run through Kensington Gardens, Hyde Park, Green Park and St James' Park.

Osterley Park: Osterley Park and House provides a lovely scenic route to complete. Jog around the perimeter or take a gentle journey through the house and gardens.
