The countdown for bargain hunters is almost over as Black Friday is set to hit high street shops in Hounslow and Feltham , tomorrow (28).

Christmas shoppers are in for a treat as a number of store giants in the borough will be taking part in the mega sale originally only celebrated in the US the day after Thanksgiving, to mark the start of the festive season.

Millions of goods will be on offer with everything from gadgets and electronics to toys expected to fly off the shelves.

The biggest retailer to bring earth-shattering discounts to customers in west London will be Asda, whose parent company Walmart are renowned for their Black Friday deals in America.

The supermarket giant has announced it will run a two-day flash sale from 8am tomorrow (28) with 700,000 products up for grabs at special prices including for the first time quad bikes at almost half price (£3,500), plus televisions such as Polaroid 40" LED (£139), mobile phones, Xbox and PS3 games, children's toys and tablets.

Andrew Moore, Asda’s chief merchandising officer, said: “Last year we were the first major retailer to bring Black Friday to the UK. While we knew the event would be a success, the response from our customers beat even our own expectations! Since then we’ve been committed to creating an even bigger and better Black Friday event. And by working closely with our colleagues at Walmart we’ve delivered on our promise and know our customers won’t be disappointed."

Other participating stores at The Centre in Feltham include Argos, Blue Inc (up to 60% off) and The Fragrance Shop (15% of gift sets).

At the Treaty Centre in Hounslow the recently opened H&M and Debenhams will be open from 8am to 8pm, an extra two hours for after work shoppers keen to scoop up some bargains, but the offers are being kept under wraps.

Other shops getting involved include special Black Friday offers on certain products at the The Perfume Shop and a 50 per cent of in Claire's.
