With just eight days to go until Under One Sky 2014, we run down the list of confirmed acts and activities featuring on Harrow’s favourite day of the year.
There is plenty to keep you busy on Sunday, September 21.
The confirmed acts are:
- Funfair from Brixton Amusements
- Live broadcast by Harrow Community Radio
- Music and dance performances throughout the day
- Vintage cars
- Schools parade including St Teresa’s, Rook’s Heath, Pinner Wood, St John Fisher, Stag Lane, Stanburn Junior, Elmgrove & Salvatorian College
- Harrow community groups information activities for children and young people
- ‘All our yesterdays’ area with 50’s swing
- Harrow Arts Centre taster sessions
- Council information and activities
- Sports activities for all the family
- Food and beverage concessions
- Crafts fair
- Petting zoo
- Various local dance groups
- Vintage police cars and fire engines
Cabinet member for community, culture and resident engagement Councillor Sue Anderson (Labour) said: “Under One Sky is for the whole community to come together and celebrate our rich diversity and culture. This year’s event is unique as we mark the borough’s 60th anniversary so we’ll be celebrating Harrow living under one sky since 1954.”
