A huge, colourful slide came to London to relieve the daily stress faced by city commuters every day.

The adults-only slide, which has a large cookie for an entrance, is the creation of biscuit company Oreo and marks the launch of the brand's two new flavours which hit the shelves last month.

The slide will also be set up in Manchester's Victoria Station this week and will then head to Birmingham and Sheffield at later dates.

Oreo brand manager Daniel Kessler said the idea came from a survey taken by Mancunians, in the Manchester Evening News, which showed that 76% of adults in the city wished they could still use playground rides.

Last month saw riders such as Made in Chelsea TV star Louise Thompson enjoy that Friday feeling after the Oreo rainbow slide set up for the day at Canary Wharf.

London has previously played host to a giant slide, with lucky ticket holders being able to enjoy the 100m water chute Slide the City at King's Cross Station. It was due to return this summer, to Wembley Park, but was cancelled last-minute.

Golden Oreo - a vanilla flavour - and limited edition Peanut Butter cookies came to supermarkets on August 1 and will be available for Oreo lovers for a year.
