U2 at Twickenham Stadium is sure to be one of the biggest music events we see in 2017.

It's 40 years on from the band members' first gig as Feedback and 30 years after the release of The Joshua Tree.

They will play in west London again on Saturday July 8, as part of a worldwide tour, with their only UK confirmed date being Twickenham Stadium .

The Irish rock group will perform The Joshua Tree in its entirety during the shows, including classic tracks like 'With Or Without You' and 'I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For'.

In anticipation of this summer's massive show, take a look through our gallery featuring shots of U2's live performances over the years.

On the Joshua Tree anniversary, Bono said: "Recently I listened back to it for the first time in nearly 30 years - it’s quite an opera.

"I've sung some of these songs a lot… but never all of them. I’m up for it, if our audience is as excited as we are."

The Joshua Tree broke UK chart records in 1987, selling 300,000 copies in two days, also winning the Grammy Award for Best Album and going on to sell 25 million copies worldwide.
