IF YOU fancy a night out with a difference, TJ Higgs, An Evening of Clairvoyance, is guaranteed to deliver.

I got an insight into the work of psychic mediums when Colin Fry performed at the Beck recently. Colin had already made his mark by selling out three shows at the theatre and his messages to people from dead loved ones was soon matched by tears for some and laughter for others.

However, the softer surface of the seemingly happy medium hid a decidedly crisper layer, which sizzled to the surface when he launched into the possibility of sceptics sitting amongst the audience.

He vowed he would not have people 'disrespecting' him, adding: "I don't give a damn what you think. The exit is there and you are welcome to leave with my blessing."

No-one left and the show continued, albeit with a few people looking like they had been told off by the headmaster in assembly.

Also appearing for a short slot was TJ Higgs, who was promoting her own show, which starts at the Beck Theatre on June 5.

The mother of two teenage sons owns the Dragonfly Spiritual Centre in Essex, practises healing and psychic counselling, and is a Reiki master. Born in North London in 1970, her parents didn't encourage her gift, but when she was 26, she had a reading and says she instinctively knew she could do the same.

Since then she has worked for Spirit and Destiny magazine as their psychic house detective and has been featured on the TV chat show Richard and Judy.

If this kind of thing appeals to you, you will be in for a fascinating evening and a few surprises - but book soon because tickets for these shows sell like hot cakes.

* TJ's show is on Thursday, June 5, at 7.30pm. For ticket information call 020 8561 8371.
