POTENTIAL West End stars of the future had their eyes opened to a whole new world during rehearsals for a junior production of Aladdin.

The 94 eager young performers took part in a week-long event organised by Hillingdon Musical Society (HMS).

Starting on Monday last week at Hillingdon Park Baptist Church, in Hercies Road, the five day course offered a glimpse of the commitment needed to succeed in show business.

Organiser Kerry Bowers said "All the adults and HMS members involved are volunteers who take part out of a strong desire to see our group prosper. At the end of the week we choose around 40 children to take part in our main show."
