Primark will open its doors in Uxbridge High Street for the first time on Saturday (March 25), which is brilliant news for discount-clothing fans.

Plans to bring Primark to Uxbridge were first revealed in 2014 and the store was originally expected to open in time for Christmas 2016.

So after years of anticipation, the long-awaited, two-storey Primark is finally ready and we've compiled a list of the 23 things you only know if you shop in Primark.

1. You'll come home with more candles than you'll ever burn. But they're shaped like bunnies, pineapples and unicorns and smell of sweets, so it's OK.

2. Unless you shop there you wouldn't know its street name is “Primarni”

3. Primark glasses are perfect for festivals (and very easy to lose)

4. The inner rage you feel when the fitting room assistant says you cannot take your overfilled basket into the changing room with you

5. Knowing you are going to feel obese because an adults' extra large wouldn't fit a sparrow

6. Having to check the label because it’s always different to the hanger

7. The queue to the changing rooms is physically painful

8. You will try on the clothes in the aisle if you think you can get away with it

9. It’s like the Sahara desert in there in the summer

10. They have the longest checkouts in the world

11. And you will always pick up something you don't need while in said checkout queue

12. It’s absolute carnage during sale time

13. 90% of the store is jeggings

17. Your hair will get stuck on something while manoeuvring through the narrow aisles

18. You learn the art of having to rummage through piles of clothes to find your size at the bottom - creased and unfolded

19. You always know you are going to be barged by someone

20. You will always head for the wrong escalators

21. You have to allow an hour for Primark, minimum

22. It doesn't matter how bad THAT Family Guy shirt is. You will laugh and probably think about buying it.
