Some people are raising questions about the quality of clothing, although this was disputed by another shopper who said her clothes had lasted years.

The discount fashion retailer opened its doors at 10am on Saturday (March 25) with keen shoppers queuing back along High Street to the Costa Coffee.

Other readers were delighted with the organisation of the opening event during a hectic day.

Cllr Hensley said: ““The arrival of Primark in Uxbridge is a welcome development to the centre of Uxbridge – in one of our principle shopping centres.
