The new addition to the High Street has also created 30 jobs in the local area.

We are told by Poundworld there are more than 6,000 items in the huge store where you can pick up everything from groceries and cleaning products to pet care and toys.

Poundworld has taken over the unit which was formerly occupied by M&S.

While it is the first Poundworld in the area, competitors are close by with two Poundland stores and one 99p store.

Dariusz Slabik, Poundworld area manager, said: “The opening was a great success and we’re delighted to have opened our first ever store in Hounslow.

"We can’t wait to welcome local people through our doors and help them save money on their weekly shopping bill over the coming weeks and months.”
