Often billed as Europe’s biggest street party - the Notting Hill Carnival had more than a million people taking part over the bank holiday weekend.

With the smell of delicious jerk chicken wafting around the streets, there was a flurry of elaborate costumes and calypso tunes as dancers and musicians, as well as floats to get everybody in the mood to celebrate all things Caribbean. Despite Monday's fun being marred by constant rain, thousands continued to party.

7,000 police officers were on hand to keep revellers safe, and there were more than 250 arrests.

Some 200 tonnes of rubbish have been cleared by teams of cleaners - and a pair of bunnies rescued over the weekend have been named after the carnival.
