A SINGER from Shepherd's Bush will look to bounce back from his X-Factor heartache with a gig at Kensington Roof Gardens tonight (Friday).

MITSOTU, an urban three-piece featuring 21-year-old James Collins, from Macfarlane Road, narrowly missed out on a place in the talent show’s live finals having made it through to the ‘judges’ houses’ stage of the competition.

But, despite a strong audition, James and bandmates Holly Cooper and Jimmy Essex, lost out to rival group MK1 for the final live slot.

They aren’t dwelling on the disappointment, however, and have been booked to headline the popular venue tonight with a full live band.

The band, who liken themselves to artists like Rihanna, burst onto the scene earlier this year in the Live and Unsigned talent show.

The gig starts at 8.30pm.
