On Thursday August 6, local residents in Fulham will have the chance to try out for a special new choir for free.

From September, new amateur adult choir West End Musical Choir will offer musical lovers the chance to learn songs from smash-hit musicals such as Les Miserables and Sweeney Todd.

Hailed the "ultimate feel-good experience", the choir allows people the freedom to explore their voice and express themselves in weekly musical sessions.

The free taster session will give music-lovers the chance to explore what the choir will be like, learn some songs from classic and hit musicals and meet people who enjoy musical theatre.

Founder of West End Musical Choir, Charlotte Morrison, said: "Music is such a universal language, it has the power to bring people together from all backgrounds, all ages and all types of personalities.

"It is clear that the UK is in love with the musicals, so I wanted to create a type of 'musical community' for adults, giving locals the chance to learn the songs we all love from the West End and Broadway in a fun, social and safe environment.

"There's no audition, no need to read sheet music and no pressure to perform... Just your passion for musical theatre is needed!

"We've been overwhelmed with the response so far, with a huge amount signed up already for the first Term starting in September, just from word of mouth. Our free summer taster session is generating so much interest that we're already planning a couple more sessions this Summer."

The taster session on August 6 will take place from 7.30pm to 9pm and will be free of charge.
