The Kensington Singers community choir is on a mission to spread festive cheer with a string of performances in the run-up to Christmas.

On Saturday December 7 they will be at St Cuthbert’s in Earls Court from 5pm, alongside other local groups in a candle lit carol service. Then on Sunday December 15 the choir will entertain the Chelsea Pensioners in a regular fixture in the calendar.

On Monday December 16  at 8pm the singers will give their winter concert with London a cappella sensations The Buzztones, at St John’s Notting Hill. Tickets cost £8 (£6 concessions) and are available via their website or on the door.

Kensington Singers formed in 2011 and meets at St Phillips, Earls Court on Mondays during term time from 7pm to 8.45pm. It is looking for new members.

Conductor Hannah Brine said: "Our members are a very friendly bunch and audiences are always surprised by the quality of our sound, given that we are a non-auditioned community choir. We have great fun learning and performing together and supporting the local community."
