Few artists have travelled so far, and so quickly, on the back of a self-released album, and Jo Harman is increasingly regarded as one of the most extraordinary stories to emerge in to today’s music scene.

Jo will be gracing the stage at the iconic Crawdaddy Club, Richmond with her band of world-class musicians (who have performed with the likes of BB King and Bob Dylan) as part of a tour to support her debut studio album ‘Dirt On My Tongue’. Also, supporting Jo is the upcoming acoustic artist and BBC Folk Award Nominee, Sunjay Brayne (http://www.sunjaybrayne.com), with his folk and blues sound, reminiscent of Ralph McTell, John Martyn and early Tim Buckley.

Tickets for this concert are available online from wegottickets.com, skiddle.com and www.visitrichmond.co.uk for £12. They will also be available on the door for £15. There will be a limited number of VIP tickets available for £25 each. The VIP experience includes a reserved seat, a free drink of your choice, access to the VIP area and a meet and greet with Jo Harman after the performance.

Blessed with a truly expressive and exceptional voice, Harman’s music is a unique and contemporary take on the classic sounds of gospel, blues and soul; all underpinned by a simply compelling stage show and a dynamic range of heart felt songs of rare emotion.

After initially releasing ‘Dirt On My Tongue’ independently earlier this year, the reaction to the record is such that it is being re-presented by The Big Chill label and Proper Distribution on 20th October. The album is also being released on major label, V2 (Mumford and Sons, Laura Marling), in Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg. The initial reaction in the region is such that Jo has already been invited to appear on several prime-time TV and other mainstream media in advance of the release.

Jo has been booked for over 40 festivals this year alone, many as headliners, including Cheltenham Jazz, Edinburgh Jazz and Blues Fest (where she will formally launch ‘Dirt On My Tongue’) at the Royal Albert Hall. She also recently performed as one of only 12 (otherwise household name) artists at Parkpop in The Netherlands, a huge event with 300,000 attendees. Here is footage of Jo recently performing her song “(This Is My) Amnesty” from her debut album on Netherlands mainstream TV.
