Harrow Harmony's Summer Concert - Pinner Parish Church, Saturday, July 12
Where else can you hear popular classical pieces, the lush sound of multi-part harmonies and uplifting, celebratory gospel music, all in one place?
Harrow Harmony will perform all these styles, and more, at its summer concert on Saturday at Pinner Parish Church, Church Lane, Pinner.
Guests can expected to hear music by Vivaldi, Handel, the Beach Boys, Vaughan Williams, Karl Jenkins and some gospel numbers.
The choir has been running since it grew out of Harrow Choral Society's beginners course, named 'Singing for Starters', in 1999.
Its repertoire includes a much broader range of popular tunes than the choral society - concerts have been known to feature The Beatles and ABBA, as well as songs from West End shows, folk tunes, and memorable television themes.
Harrow Harmony rehearses on Friday evenings from 7.45pm to 9.30pm at South Harrow Methodist Church, Walton Avenue, South Harrow.
Tickets to Saturday's concert - one of the three main performances the choir arranges each year - cost £7 (£3 for under-12s) and includes a buffet afterwards.
