London’s un-coolest club celebrates it's third birthday!
In three years Club De Fromage has grown from it's humble beginnings to becoming London’s biggest weekly dressing up party and cheese-fest. With its guilty pleasures, cult and sometimes camp fancy dress themes and the anything goes music policy; which can see you dancing to Queen one minute and Right Said Fred the next, Club De Fromage is not afraid to be a little un-cool. It is the exact ingredient that makes the night so great! So great, it's actually become cool and kitsch, rather than un-cool; as well as the party everyone wants to be at!
Club De Fromage is the brain child of the team behind quirky indie night Feeling Gloomy, spoof speed dating event Down with Dating, hair metal club Sniff the Glove; as well as new feel good night Hair Brush Heroes and New Year's Eve Party Club De Fromage vs Feeling Gloomy.
To celebrate their third birthday Club De Fromage are pulling out all the stops with gifts galore and their general good humoured fun! You want a Fromage mug? You got one. You want a Fromage badge? You got one. You want a Fromage T shirt? You got one. You want birthday cake? You got it. You want a massive balloon drop? You got one. In true Fromage style, it will be like a kids birthday party crossed with an actual school disco!
Amongst all this cheap Kwik Save packed joy will be the usual - and now infamous - meat pie raffle, air guitar pension picking up legends Lucifer’s Grandmother, Harry Haloumi’s bad dancing competition and as ever the Bri Nylon award for best fancy dress costume as well as Skinny Jim laying down huge slices of musical brie!
Promoter Carl Hill, says, “We started this as a laugh, it was meant to be the worst club in the world... but people keep coming 2009 has seen us rammed and doing lots of festivals. Its a bit of a piss-take of other people we have known who go, ‘Hey this is such a sexy cool club, now give us the cost of a small house to come in’ and we are like, ‘but you play Steps and Spandau Ballet and are packed with hen nights... how is that cool?’. We are most definitely not cool and proud, oh and quite cheap too. And yes for the record I do think Barry Manilow is a genius and would have his children”.
Join the un-coolest club night in London and dance with people who are not afraid to have a good time and don't care what the hell they look like!
