The Wombats have revealed plans for a one-off show at O2 Brixton Academy to celebrate 10 years since the release of debut album "A Guide to Love, Loss & Desperation".

The trio will play the venue on Friday June 30 to showcase the indie pop record.

They announced the news to fans on social media saying: "Hey everyone, we're excited to announce that we are going to have a 10th birthday party for our 1st album on 30th June at a venue that has been very special to us over the years

Plus they also teased their fourth studio album stating: "PS New music coming this year!"

Their debut album, released in 2007 received positive reaction from critics and sold more than 300,000 copies in the UK.

The Wombats get ready to play at there first sold out gig at the Carling Academy 27th January 2007. Bottom to top is Tord, Murph and Dan.

It features popular tracks "Let's Dance to Joy Division", "Welcome to New York" and "Kill The Director" and fans can expect to hear it in its entirety at the Brixton Academy show.

The group formed in 2003 in Liverpool and have since found success with three top 20 studio albums and picking up a strong following from their live shows.

As well as headline shows in hometown of Liverpool, they have also performed at the likes of Reading and Leeds Festival cementing their place in the music world.

Tickets for The Wombats anniversary show go on sale at 9am on Friday February 10 and you can get them here .
