London has arguably the best music scene around, with thousands of talented musicians emerging every day, most of which are unsigned acts waiting for their big break.
Unsigned Friday brings you the very best unsigned music artists from around the capital, as well as giving these acts a platform to promote their music.
This week, getwestlondon 's Emily Chudy caught up with Ealing electro band Lejon.
Lejon is a trippy, electro band consisting of Laurence Jepson (a student in Ealing, studying jazz piano, music technology and songwriting) on vocals and keys, and Titus Charles Dale (a musician, sound engineer and producer) on drums and percussion.
Laurence said: "Lejon uses technology, both old and new, to create a unique blend of tomorrow and yesteryear within their music. A collage of synth-driven electro with haunting and commercial vocal styles.
"Lejon is primarily a live outfit and is based on the concept of live music with hardware instead of software, even though the music could suggest otherwise these days."
Laurence said: "Our influences include Ben Khan, Jai Paul, Chvrches, James Blake, Kindness, Robyn and Oceànn."
Lejon has just released a debut single, Eyes Wide Shut, which can be listened to on Soundcloud. Below is their video for "When Doves Cry".
Active since late 2014, Lejon have already had success on both Soundcloud and pirate radio.
Laurence said: "Lejon takes pride in its classically intuitive approach to modern indie electro with 'old school' sequencing and sampling techniques. With a strict ban and disregard for laptops and software, they are striving to revive a lost art form that laid the foundations of electric music today.
"With this, Lejon is a hotbed of modern indie-electro combined with the pastiche of '80s throwback pop and R&B. An echo to the original digital/analogue renaissance."
