Shaking Chains are heading to The Islington to launch their debut release.
The group who are more Chartists than chart hits will perform on March 29.
The double A-side single featuring "Midnight Oil" and "Drunk No More" is available digitally, but there are also 500 hand numbered vinyls available.
The music video for "Midnight Oil" recently drew attention as it's configured to change so that each viewer will never see the same thing twice.
It has been uploaded to midnightoilfilm.com , where an algorithm pulls in short clips from video sites including YouTube whilst the track plays on top.
The video is a commentary on the state of society at the moment, including how we consume things online and the often questioned ownership of art in pop culture.
The group, who originally formed in London having played music together since they were in school chose to head up north to Manchester to continue making music.
Lead singer Jack Mahoney who hails from Uxbridge has a few words to say: "I live in Uxbridge and it’s a world apart from Manchester. It’s a world apart from elsewhere in London in fact.
'I think our music can provide some solace, even if we’re performing to the choir as the church is being torn down'
"That said, I’m glad that we’re playing our single launch at The Islington on Wednesday. I’m looking forward to performing our songs of despair to the Liberal Elite, in the safety of their metropolitan bubble.
"On the day where the country’s biggest tax avoiders take back control, I think our music can provide some solace, even if we’re performing to the choir as the church is being torn down."
If that doesn't intrigue you then the group are sure to put on a show not be missed at The Islington tomorrow (March 29).
Tickets for their single launch are priced at £6.95 and you can get them from Ticketweb here .
