Ryan Adams has announced a UK tour which includes a date at the Royal Albert Hall .

The singer-songwriter will play the venue on Friday September 22.

The tour, which will also visit Manchester and Leeds, supports his latest studio album "Prisoner".

Adams has enjoyed success as both a solo artist and part of groups Whiskeytown and The Cardinals, finding a breakthrough in the UK with his album "Gold".

His 2015 release saw him interpret Taylor Swift's Grammy Award winning "1989" album into his signature stripped back alt-rock sound.

It became a commercial and critical success and received approval from the singer herself.

Adams has received Grammy, BRIT and NME award nominations since 2000 and has released 16 studio albums.

Tickets will go on sale at 10am on Friday February 24 from Ticketmaster and royalalberthall.com .
