Regina Spektor has announced details of a UK tour.

The singer songwriter will perform at the Eventim Apollo in Hammersmith on Wednesday August 9.

Spektor revealed details of the dates on social media whilst in the midst of the US leg of her tour.

She told fans that she will perform in cities including Birmingham, Cambridge and Liverpool this summer.

The artist has had songs appear in a number of films and television shows including the theme music to Orange Is The New Black, Weeds, How I Met Your Mother and (500) Days of Summer.

In 2016 she played two sold out shows at the Royal Festival Hall in London in November.

The Russian-born classically trained pianist recently released her seventh studio album "Remember Us to Life" which followed her previous releases and received critical acclaim.

Fans can expect to hear music from across her career performed live including her 2006 commercial hit "Begin to Hope" which went on to be certified gold in the UK and US.

When do tickets go on sale?

They go on sale at 10am on Friday April 7.
