Queens of the Stone Age have announced a four-date UK & Ireland tour for November 2017.

The group will perform at the O2 Arena on Tuesday November 21.

The news comes alongside further details about their upcoming LP "Villains" with lead single "The Way You Used To Do" now available.

Their seventh studio album in total is due for release on August 25 and has been produced by Mark Ronson.

On the albums title frontman Josh Homme says: "The title Villains isn’t a political statement. It has nothing to do with Trump or any of that.

"It’s simply a word that looks fantastic and a comment on the three versions of every scenario: yours, mine and what actually happened.

"Everyone needs someone or something to rail against—their villain—same as it ever was. You can’t control that. The only thing you can really control is when you let go."

The group are also performing in Dublin, Edinburgh and Manchester as part of the tour.

Since their 1998 debut the group have received six Grammy nominations and headlined Download Festival.
