Queen have announced details of a UK arena tour with special guest Adam Lambert.

The vocalist will join the legendary band at the O2 Arena on December 12 and Wembley Arena on December 15.

The news comes after the current lineup Brian May, Roger Taylor and Adam Lambert revealed a string of North American shows.

It marks their first tour since the sold out ten-date 2015 arena run, they also played a live set at Isle of Wight Festival in 2016.

The group promise a brand new production this time around with some surprises in the mix alongside their classic hits.

Queen will once again be joined by Adam Lambert on a UK arena tour

Brian May said: "The general public knows the hits, so you've got to cater for that, but we can chuck in a few things that people really don't expect.

"We’ll do quite a bit more of that this time around.

"There are so many dimensions to Adam, which of course fits with our music. He can get down and do the rock stuff really dirty, and you have all those dimensions, and we can explore that even more."

They will perform 11 dates across the UK and Ireland including shows in Birmingham, Liverpool and Manchester.

American Idol runner-up and popstar in his own right Adam Lambert joined Queen as a touring member in 2011 and they have since played sold out shows across the globe.
