This summer a 1940s-style Enigma dance will be taking place at Brent Lodge Park, Hanwell, as part of a fundraising initiative for the Brent Lodge Animal Centre interactive Monkey House.

Clocktower Productions will be running the event in the stables, and the night will include cocktails-a-plenty, a dress-up military photo booth, music sets by Boogie Woogie Raspberry Jam, sing-songs and even a code-breaking experience! Dinner will of course be a ration-tin fish and chips.

The second event held at the old stable buildings, the 1940s dance will follow a hugely successful secret speakeasy that was held last year.

Morna McAulay, from Clocktower Productions, said: "The 1940s is such an important and evocative era, which also had great music and fashion, we are having a terrific time dressing the space and developing characters and sets for the event.

"Our parties always involve great music and theatricals to set the scene - you can join in if you wish, or watch from a distance. We were thrilled to find that at the speakeasy there were only a few people over the three nights that didn't dress up for the grand slam good times!"

The event will take place on Friday June 12 and Saturday June 13.
