Metallica recently announced details of the UK leg of their WorldWired tour.

The metal group will perform at the O2 Arena for two nights on October 22 and 24.

It will mark their first major UK appearance since 2015 when they headlined Reading and Leeds Festival.

The group have secured themselves as one of the best live acts in the world thanks to their relentless touring and epic stage shows.

The tour which has already kicked off in America and Asia will visit the UK for only three other shows in Manchester, Glasgow and Birmingham.

Tickets for the London shows go on sale this week and we have all the information you need to get your hands on them before anyone else.

If their previous tours are anything to go by then these latest dates are going to be a sell out.

How can I access the presale?

You can sign up to become a Fifth Member on the metallica.com for free.

Then you can access your presale code from metallica.com/me , head to the Tour page and click on "Fan Club Tickets".

The sale takes place from 10am on Tuesday March 21 for Legacy Members (members for more than two years) and 11am for Fifth Members.

It will end at 10am on Wednesday March 22 or until all tickets are sold out - and then you will have to try in the general sale.

When do tickets go on general sale?

If you miss out on tickets the presale, more tickets will be released on Friday March 24 at 9am through Ticketmaster .

How much are tickets?

They are priced between £50-£85, plus booking fees.
