Manic Street Preachers have announced details of a UK arena tour for 2018.

They will perform at Wembley Arena on May 24 as part of the tour.

The shows will be in support of their upcoming 13th studio album.

Due for release on April 6, the record is entitled Resistance Is Futile, and explores themes of memory and loss.

They say: "It’s obsessively melodic - in many ways referencing both the naive energy of 'Generation Terrorists' and the orchestral sweep of 'Everything Must Go'.

"After delay and difficulties getting started, the record has come together really quickly over the last few months through a surge of creativity and some old school hard work."

The group will also head to Leeds, Newcastle, Llandudno, Manchester, Birmingham, Glasgow and Cardiff on the tour.

Meanwhile support will come from group The Coral.

Where can I buy tickets?

They'll be available from Ticketmaster here or AXS.com here.

When do tickets go on sale?

Tickets go on general sale at 9:30am on Friday November 24.

A presale will take place for those who preorder the album by Tuesday November 21.
