Macklemore has announced details of a UK tour for 2018.

The US rapper will perform a headline date at O2 Brixton Academy.

He will head to London on Friday April 6 as part of the tour.

Entitled the Gemini UK Tour it will be in support of the album of the same name.

It's his second solo studio album following his previous releases alongside collaborator Ryan Lewis.

The record reached number two on the US Billboard Chart and number 13 in the UK albums chart.

Macklemore found success in 2012 with one of the biggest selling records of the year "The Heist" which spawned hits "Can't Hold Us" and "Thrift Shop".

Meanwhile he will also perform in Birmingham and Manchester as part of the upcoming tour.

When do tickets go on sale?

The general sale kicks off at 9am on Friday October 13.

A presale will begin at 9am on Wednesday October 11 for O2 priority customers.
