Mac DeMarco has announced details of three London shows for this November.

The Canadian singer-songwriter will perform at The Coronet Theatre on November 17-19.

The three intimate shows are part of 'The Royal Macathon'.

He recently released his third studio LP 'This Old Dog' to acclaim and chart success.

The LP was shaped by his move from New York to LA which gave him a new perspective during the creation of it.

As Mac says: "Usually I just write, record, and put it out - no problem. But this time, I wrote them and they sat. When that happens, you really get to know the songs. It was a different vibe."

He has also played with new genres on the record, using an acoustic and electric guitar as well as a synthesiser for the first time giving the sound an unplugged feel.

Mac says: "This is my acoustic album, but it’s not really an acoustic album at all. That’s just what it feels like, mostly. I’m Italian, so I guess this is an Italian rock record."

The upcoming November shows follow up his recently sold out gigs at O2 Brixton Academy in May.

The artist is also heading to Liverpool, Bristol, Nottingham, Brighton, Glasgow and Manchester during his UK tour.
