Liam Gallagher has announced details of a headline UK tour.

The former Oasis frontman will play the iconic Alexandra Palace on December 7.

He announced the news on Twitter saying: "Morning Boppers. Glad to announce UK Tour. As You We're. LG x".

The shows will be in support of his upcoming solo debut studio album "As You Were".

It features tracks including "Wall of Glass", "Chinatown" and "For What It's Worth".

Gallagher has previously released material with the band Beady Eye who split in 2014.

Since his move to a solo career he's played at Reading and Leeds Festival, One Love Manchester as well as the O2 Ritz to raise money for the victims of the Manchester terror attack.

He will kick off the tour in October in Belfast before heading to Leeds, Glasgow, Brighton and finishing up with a hometown gig in Manchester on December 16.

They go on general sale at 10am on Friday September 8.

They are limited to four per person.
