Kasabian have announced details of an intimate UK tour for April.

The group will perform for three nights at London's O2 Forum on April 18-20.

Ahead of their upcoming sixth studio album, they will play eight dates across the UK and Ireland.

The band will be performing in venues starkly different from their usual arena and stadium settings.

The O2 Forum in Kentish Town has a capacity of just 2,800 compared to the tens of thousands they usually play to.

Kasabian are returning with sixth studio album For Crying Out Loud

Kasabian recently revealed details of the album For Crying Out Loud due for release on April 28, including lead single I'm In Love With a Psycho.

On the upcoming album Serge says: "I made sure there was no fat on anything, it was going to be classic songs, no self-indulgence, nothing was going on there that shouldn’t.

"I’d heard Berry Gordy had said if you’ve not got them in the first four bars then you’re finished, so I went in with this old school attitude of song-writing."

Following the more electronic direction on 2014’s "48:13" Kasabian were keen to make a truly great guitar album with Serge saying: "We wanted to make a very positive album full of hope with guitars to remind people that it’s still relevant."

Meanwhile, they will be returning to headline Reading and Leeds festivals this summer, as well as TRNSMT in Glasgow.
