J. Cole recently announced details of a world tour and presale tickets are available today (February 23).

The American hip hop artist will play the O2 Arena as part of the UK leg of his "4 Your Eyez Only" tour.

He will play at the venue on October 15 in what is expected to be a memorable show.

His tracks are regularly social commentaries dealing with issues including fatherhood, abortion and fame, which he also discusses on stage.

In 2015 as part of his "2014 Forest Hills Drive" tour he played a sold out show at the O2 Arena.

The rapper performed the album in its entirety at the gig a rarity for musicians but the record resonated with music fans and critics alike.

It was the final show of the epic tour which saw the record of the same name awarded the 'Best Rap Album' of the year by Billboard and win 'Album of the Year' at the BET Awards.

He returned to the UK in summer of 2016 for a slot at Wireless Festival on the main stage where he played the following setlist:

  1. A Tale of 2 Citiez
  2. Fire Squad
  3. Back to the Topic (freestyle)
  4. Wet Dreamz
  5. Nobody’s Perfect
  6. St. Tropez
  7. No Role Modelz

  13. Apparently
  14. Can’t Get Enough
  15. Planes
  16. Crooked Smile
  17. Power Trip
  18. Note To Self

As well as an artist in his own right he has also produced tracks for artists like Janet Jackson and Kendrick Lamar.

Cole became the first rap artist to go platinum without a featured track on his album "2014 Forest Hills Drive".

He first gained recognition after self-releasing mixtapes and eventually signing to Jay-Z's Roc Nation label, he's since gone on to achieve four US number one records.
