If you're a music fan who's at a loose end this Friday (March 4) and in you're in the Uxbridge area, then I suggest you pop along to The Crown and Treaty pub in Oxford Road, where you can enjoy the talents of three incredible and very different sounding bands.

Glass Peaks, Venice Trip and Wave Upon Wave are set to strut their stuff on the now well trodden local stage there.

Hailing from Ruislip , Wave Upon Wave have a gritty but catchy supply of songs with anthemic qualities. By the second chorus you'll be singing along like an ardent lifelong fan. With track titles like Black Belt In Karaoke this trio have also nailed the elusive art of not taking yourself too seriously.

London four piece Venice Trip are a psychedelic modern day blues rock outfit with a nostalgic air about them. They'd have fitted the bill at either Woodstock 1969 or Glastonbury 2015.

Powerful and dynamic yet soulful and, at times, subtle they have the ability to rip raucously through their set and somehow manage to blend in the transcendental essence as well like Weller meets The Grateful Dead.

Glass Peaks from Bexleyheath are having playing their Treaty début this Friday and offer some atmospheric, indie space rock like a combination of Hawkwind, Gong and The Editors. Yuck Indie DJ-Stephen will be spinning the discs before, between and after the live acts with everything from James to Joy Division and Bloc Party to Blondie.

Free entry before 10pm and just £5 after. Bargain.

Be sure to tune into my interactive HayesFM radio show EVERY Tuesday at 9pm to hear live and original performers. PLUS more local live music news. You can find HayesFM on 91.8FM in London or GLOBAL online .
