Bet you can't think of a band whose name is their drummer's surname? What's that you say? Fleetwood Mac? OK, I'll give you half a point for that. However, had you guessed ' Faers ' you would have won a lifetime's supply of free oxygen. Yes, Faers are back at The Crown and Treaty pub this Friday October 30 with a whole bunch of new and exciting material to bombard your ears and consciousness with.

Having recently filled the Camden Barfly to the brim with Faers fans for their latest EP release and supporting indie legends Menswear at the Garage in Islington, this five strong force have come home to woo the locals.

Faers have great energy and a unique signature of styles that push the indie umbrella to extremes.

Supporting Faers are the lively and exciting London group called According To You . Catchy and dancey like Editors meet The Cure but with an extra powerful and precise drum sound and a surge of distortion where it's needed, According To You are certainly hitting the spot.

Descending upon Uxbridge to share this already impressive bill are Pretty Visitors. All the way from Hayes in fact. Riff ridden and real. Pretty Visitors cite The Clash, The Jam and The Arctic Monkeys as huge influences. It's going to be a good night for original music.

It's free entry to The Crown and Treaty, Oxford Road, Uxbridge before 10pm and just £5 after. See you there.

It's common knowledge that a short wander down Windsor Street, Uxbridge (it's only 100 yards long) will lead to Balcony Shirts. A small but popular enterprise selling an array of witty slogan'd T shirts and trendy, often music related nick nacks such as plectrums, guitar strings, man bags and such. A lesser known fact is that it's proprietor Scott Raison is a fine musician and songwriter. Scott will be airing his musical talents on my HayesFM radio show on Tuesday November 3 at 9pm.

You can listen online or on an actual old fashioned radio contraption thing by tuning in to 91.8 FM. It's bound to be a giggle as well as some blimmin' fine tune-smithing.
