The Night of Festivals returns to Hounslow High Street for a vibrant weekend of carnival, world music, entertainment and cricket in June.

The festival, which celebrates the 70th anniversary of Indian and Pakistan independence, will take place for the third year over Saturday June 10 and Sunday June 11.

Celebrating values of freedom through artistic innovation, Night of Festivals is a free event that will animate Hounslow High Street with colourful carnival activity.

Harminder (the pedal powered, life size elephant) and extraordinary costumes from Mandinga Arts will bring a carnival vibe to the town in the free event.

Malikah and DJ Missy Ness, Dr Das and Blue Lions will also perform on the world music stage.

Meanwhile, 1st team representatives of Middlesex County Cricket Club will host cricket activities and workshops.

David Hill, Director of ArtReach, the partners of the event, said: “It’s fantastic to be bringing back Night of Festivals for a third consecutive year in Hounslow.

"[We have] lots of new artists and spectacular new carnival costumes."

Mr Hill added: "We are particularly pleased to be building our relationships with community groups through Age UK, Feltham Arts, the Highfields Estate, Tale Be Told Theatre and Speak Out, developing from work with these groups over past Festivals.”
