Franz Ferdinand have announced details of their long awaited return which includes a new album and a UK tour for 2018.
They will perform at the O2 Brixton Academy on Saturday February 24.
The group's fifth studio album Always Ascending is due for release on February 9, and they have released the title track today (October 25).
Lead singer Alex Kapranos describes the record as "simultaneously futuristic and naturalistic", and it sees them work with French producer Philippe Zdar.
They will also mark their return with a Facebook live special from Paris' Point Ephémère at 8:30pm tonight, where they will preview a selection of new songs.
Since their 2004 debut the group have released four top 10 albums, won the Mercury Prize for their self-titled debut as well as two BRIT Awards.
This upcoming release will mark their first new material in five years and first since the departure of guitarist Nick McCarthy.
