World-famous rock band Foo Fighters are opening a pub in London this weekend to celebrate the launch of their ninth album .

The Foo Fighters Arms will host “a series of events for both fans and the general public” to coincide with the release of Concrete and Gold on Friday September 15.

The pub, based at 339 Cambridge Heath Road, in Bethnal Green, east London, will be open to the public until September 20 and will sell exclusive merchandise and limited edition items.

On their website, a spokesman confirmed The Foo Fighters Arms will serve Foo Fighters beer and host a pub quiz on Monday (September 18) with exclusive prizes.

The announcement was made on Twitter on Monday (September 11), which revealed the pub's symbol to be a coat of arms with two dragon skeletons beside it.

The Foo Fighters Arms events

  • Thursday September 14 – Opening night launch party (invite only).
  • Friday September 15 – Concrete and Gold release day party (7pm - 1am).
  • Saturday September 16– Open for business (12pm - 1am).
  • Sunday September 17 – Open for business (12pm - 10.30pm).

  • Tuesday September 19 – Open for business (12pm – 12am).
