Evanescence are reforming in 2017 for a worldwide tour which includes a show at the Hammersmith Eventim Apollo .

The US rock group will play their first UK show in five years at the venue on Wednesday June 14.

They previously toured the UK in 2012, finishing off at Wembley Arena before announcing an indefinite hiatus from the music world.

However recently the group confirmed a number of South American tour dates and European festival slots to mark their return to music.

The group, fronted by Amy Lee, originally formed in 1995 and had breakthrough success in 2003 after the release of number one single Bring Me To Life.

They went on to win the Grammy Award for Best New Artist and released a total of three top five, multi million selling studio albums.

Their return to the live stage will be welcomed by the rock world and their fans as it gets fully underway in 2017.
