Bruno Mars is set to play Hyde Park next summer as part of the annual British Summer Time festival.

The US singer will return to London with his 24K Magic Tour on July 14.

He will play his biggest hits to a crowd of 60,000 strong fans at the festival.

Since his breakthrough Mars has achieved two UK number one albums, produced hits including 'Grenade', 'When I Was Your Man' and 'Treasure' and received five Grammy Awards.

The one-off UK date is part of 2018's British Summer Time, which also sees previously confirmed Pink Floyd legend Roger Waters on its lineup.

This year featured the likes of The Killers, Justin Bieber, Green Day and Tom Petty on its bill, so 2018 looks to be even bigger.

Mars will be supported by special guest Khalid, a US R&B rising star who recently won the MTV VMA for Best New Artist.

The news was coincided with an eight foot golden bar appearing at random locations in London including Leicester Square.

Fans headed to the Bruno Mars '24K Magic' themed prop to take selfies in anticipation of the show.

Further details including support acts and stage times are expected to be released next year in the run up.
