Beyonce blew the roof off of Wembley Stadium on Saturday (July 2) night as she performed the first of two dates at the iconic stadium.

Queen Bey gave an emotional performance to the tens of thousands of loyal fans that had queued up during the day, including Twitter user @badgrrlri who filmed Beyonce opening, with some being there from 5am.

But it wasn't only Beyonce's fans who turned up to see the performer under the famous arch, husband Jay-Z, Victoria Beckham, Kim Kardashian, Kendell Jenner and rugby star Maro Itoje were all also in attendance.

She kicked off the show with two songs, Formation and Sorry, from her new album Lemonade before thanking the sell-out crowd with an emotional speech.

Beyonce delivered hit after hit to Wembley, which included Freedom, Who Run the World (Girls), Runnin' as well as Halo and Irreplaceable which she sang a capella.

She also sang Purple Rain as a stirring tribute to the late Prince as the 60ft screens behind her showed purple rain falling.
