Today, Thursday, October 6 at 6pm 15,000 coach and ticket packages for Glastonbury will be available - giving keen festival-goers the first chance to secure admission.

But don't worry if you miss your chance to snap up a package as standard tickets go on sale on Sunday, October 9 at 9am.

Tickets will be sold on the official Glastonbury website and you can book six per transaction.

How much will they cost

General admission full weekend tickets cost £238 and are valid from Wednesday 21st June to Monday 26th June. There is also a booking fee of £5.

You don't have to pay for your ticket in full, you will be able to put a deposit down and pay the cost of your ticket off by spring 2017.

Once you have booked a ticket, you can access information including details of ticket dispatch, online using your booking reference number and email address or postcode. Alternatively you can call Glastonbury ticket information on 01158 960073.

Ticket and coach packages will go on sale here at 6pm today, Thursday, October 6.

Official Glasto tickets are only available via See Tickets, but if you miss your chance this time round more tickets will go on sale later on in the year.

Avoid third-party sites as you will run the risk of getting ripped off and losing your money.

Organisers are keeping tight-lipped about the line-up as usual but there are plenty of rumours swirling around.

Guns N roses are the bookies' favourite, as are Manchester's The Stone Roses.
